2027 Stallion Semen Ordering Procedures & Fees

(All fees are subject to change)

Thank you for choosing one of Midland Acres' outstanding stallions for your mare!

We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you throughout the upcoming breeding season.

Please review the following ordering procedures, deadlines, and fees carefully before placing your semen order.

 

COLLECTION DAYS & ORDERING DEADLINES

​

Stallion collections are scheduled on the following days:

Monday | Wednesday | Friday | Saturday

Saturday collections are available for pickup or courier delivery only.

 

Semen Ordering Deadlines:

• Orders should be placed the day before collection by 4:00 PM (preferred).

• Orders must be placed no later than 9:00 AM on the scheduled collection day.

• Orders received after 9:00 AM are not guaranteed a collection reservation.

• NO ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN ON SUNDAYS.

• We do not have an answering machine.

• Orders submitted by email or text are not guaranteed.

• Calling ahead is strongly encouraged to ensure your order can be accommodated.​

 

CANADIAN MARES – SPECIAL ORDERING REQUIREMENTS

 

Additional requirements apply to mares located in Canada:

• Semen orders must be placed by 2:00 PM on the day before the scheduled breeding day.

• All required Export Permit paperwork must be on file before we can complete the necessary federal veterinary documentation.

• A $300 Canadian Export Paperwork Fee will apply in addition to all other applicable fees.

 

CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS

• Signed contracts must be returned within 30 days of the postmark date. Contracts not returned within the timeframe will be considered void.

• A $100 Same-Day Contract Fee will be charged to the credit card on file if the signed contract is not on file.

• A valid credit card must be on file for all semen orders.

 

SEMEN PREPARATION & SHIPPING FEES

​

Semen Collection/Preparation & Semen Container Fee: $125 per mare, per order

​Ohio Courier Fee (in addition to the collection, preparation & semen container fee): $100 per box, per order

​Canadian Export Paperwork Fee: $300

​Same-Day Contract Fee (if applicable): $100

 

Ohio Courier Service

Ohio courier service is only available for the farms specifically listed on the breeding contract.

Couriers cannot deliver to any farm that is not listed on the contract.

The Ohio Courier Fee is in addition to the Collection, Preparation & Semen Container Fee.

 

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING ACCOUNTS

​

Clients arranging overnight semen shipments must establish their own shipping account with FedEx or UPS before requesting semen.

All shipping charges will be billed directly to the client's shipping account.

How to Open Your UPS Account for Third-Party Use

To allow Midland Acres to use your UPS account for shipping, please complete the following steps:

1. Log In to Your UPS Account

• Visit the UPS Login Page and sign in to your business profile.

2. Check Account Restrictions & Status

• Ensure your account is active and in good standing.

• Verify that your account is not restricted from third-party transactions. Restricted or unverified accounts may prevent outside users from accessing your account.

3. Enroll in or Manage the UPS Billing Center

• Navigate to the UPS Billing Center.

• Verify your account credentials, payment options, and invoice settings.

4. Authorize Users or Link Accounts

• If you want a specific person or company to use your account, they must link your account number to their own UPS profile using invoice verification or a one-time passcode provided by you.

• Alternatively, visit your profile's Accounts and Payment section to manage authorized users or add your account to an approved payment or shipping method.

• If you experience any issues, please contact UPS directly BEFORE placing your semen order.

Important: If the Midland Acres shipping account must be used, an additional $250 fee will be charged to the client's credit card.

SAME-DAY AIRLINE DELIVERY

​

For clients requesting semen delivery through same-day airline service, the following charges will apply:

Paperwork Processing Fee: $200

Collection Fee: $100

Airline Ticket: Additional cost based on selected flight and applicable airline charges

PAYMENT REQUIREMENT

​

A valid credit card must be on file before any semen will be processed or shipped.

This requirement applies to all semen orders.
