Midland Acres has always been a family business starting with the founder, Dr. D.E. "Doc" Mossbarger. His eldest son, Dr. John Mossbarger, is head of the breeding department and a specialist in equine reproduction. Dr. John’s brother, Jay, is the farm manager and heads the sale yearling preparations. In addition to the breeding facility, we provide an outside equine veterinary practice with Dr. Robert R. Schwartz and Dr. Lisa Santa-Emma who specialize in Standardbred and Thoroughbred racehorses and pleasure horses.
